SoHo Says…Progress is being made!!

September 12, 2010

You may or may not know this but I now have a sister! Her name is Coco Chanel and she is a former resident of the SPCA of Luzerne County. Similar to me, she was homeless for a bit until momma and I went to the SPCA and adopted her. Yes…I was a part of that process – I went to the SPCA and was directly involved in the adoption process. The workers and volunteers at the SPCA are very special people – they are loving and offer the best care for those residing in their shelter until they find their fur-ever home.

When Coco first came to live with us, she was scared, timid and didn’t know how to walk on a leash. She was originally terrified of my poppa but now her favorite past time is to hang out on his lap watching TV. As far as our relationship, she and I are slowly bonding – we love to watch “The Rachel Zoe Project” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” together. We have many things in common – we both have a love of fashion AND she is half bichon so we speak the same language.

Every minute of every day, we are seeing her make progress. In three and a half short weeks, Coco has learned to walk on a leash, learned to go to the bathroom outside, and loves to take ham treats from momma and poppa. Getting her to this point took time and patience but it is worth every bit of effort to see a scared shy little girl begin to enjoy all that life has to offer!
